Job Description:
As an Audit Manager at Tax Destination, you will oversee and manage the audit process for clients across various industries. You will lead a team of auditors, ensure the delivery of high-quality audit services, and provide valuable insights to clients regarding their financial controls, risk management, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Your role will involve collaborating with clients, coordinating audit engagements, and guiding audit staff to ensure the efficient and effective execution of audit procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage audit engagements, including planning, execution, and completion of audits under applicable standards and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to audit team members, including assigning tasks, reviewing work papers, and providing feedback to enhance performance and professional development.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and delivering exceptional client service.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop audit plans to address significant risks, ensuring appropriate audit coverage and compliance with professional standards.
- Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls, identify control deficiencies, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Review financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting principles and applicable regulations.
- Identify and communicate audit findings, risks, and opportunities to clients, offering practical recommendations for enhancing financial and operational processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in auditing, and ensure the implementation of appropriate updates in audit methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as tax professionals and consultants, to provide clients with integrated services and comprehensive solutions.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure the timely and efficient completion of audit engagements.
- Assist in business development activities, including identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and building relationships with prospective clients.
Requirements:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a valid membership from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
- Proven experience working as an Audit Manager or similar role, preferably in a public accounting firm or professional services environment.
- Thorough knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex business processes and identify areas of improvement.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to mentor and motivate audit team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Ability to handle multiple engagements and prioritize tasks in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in using auditing software and Microsoft Office applications.
